Kind Words from Past Clients:

“I participated in the inaugural Inside Out e-course in January, 2010. I was still in the midst of undiagnosed, untreated postpartum depression (which I’ve really only fully understood from the other side). Inside Out helped me see that I am capable of anything that I put my heart and soul into. The “realness” of everything Shannon teaches and shares, along with her ability to bring that out in others, helped me really see that extraordinary people are just people. They don’t have some special gift. They have a whole host of gifts, just like everyone does. What sets them apart is the action they take, putting themselves out into the world, taking risks, and moving forward. This idea is a value I hold very close to my heart.”

“I am learning that everything I do is based in love. And committing to creation, whether by myself or with my kids and friends, is the most effective way to create love in my life. I’ve finally, for the first time EVER, found a way around procrastination and guilt. – and I am full. I can’t thank you enough for this experience!”

“The Inside Out e-course is like a hot bath, a glorious sunrise and a delicious meal all rolled into one.  The Inupiat Eskimos have a word for hello that translates: Continue to be – because the way you are is good.  That’s how this class made me feel.”

Kim, Alaska

“I am thankful to all of the wonderful people I have met online, my inspiration and my guide. Thank you, Shannon. My health and wellness journey started at the Inside Out e-course.”

“I took Inside Out as a way to get myself to commit to a daily practice of creative play, pondering what I want to focus on and to have some fun! I hoped to explore my personal creative process, have an opportunity to experiment without the pressure and loosen up. Shannon’s combination of great questions to think deeply about, relaxing yoga for stillness and focus, creative art play – was a great mix for body and soul. Her class way surpassed my expectations.”

“Dearest Shannon,  I have to tell you that you are an inspiration to me.  Your honesty and bravery has given me the confidence to stay on my dream course.  To challenge my own fears, not let them win when I am embarking on my big dream.  You have given me incredible tools, to challenge my repeating negative habit of always wanting to please everyone else – never being able to answer my own question “What do I want?” Thank you for giving me the tools to stop the fears that creep in everyday that say You can’t do this – what if no one comes to your retreat? Thank you for giving me the daily practise of creative play and journalling to release my fears. I appreciate you.”

Dennyse, Canada

“My littles are so grown now, and yet when I first joined you they seemed so tiny. I would go right back to the Free Spirit Journaling you offered us back then as the magic that unfolded the years following would be precisely what I journaled about when I snuck away to my favourite spot in our magical forest. The power to that offering was life changing. Here we are Shannon in Costa Rica for two months, another dream off that list. You are a blessing. I would love to take your course again and I hope one day in person.”

Angie, Canada

“Inside Out gave me strategies to help me relax, see goodness, make the most of my energy and appreciate others. Best of all, Shannon helped me do this from the inside out, so that changes are personal, considered and full of hope. That this type of activity and support is offered online, world wide, is a testament to Shannon’s vision and compassion, not to mention her masterful organization and support.”

Jane

You are such an inspiration and positive person in my life. When I’ve noticed that people say how happy I am, it’s usually when I’ve been reading an doing your stuff. Having been inspired by you I appreciate colors, smells, personalities, textures, cooking – just real life experiences that fill our days. Thank you for that.

Janice

“I took Inside Out because it sounded interesting, was in the right price range, and I felt I needed to give my life a quick emotional kick-start. Although I am a professional artist, photographer and art therapist, I learnt a lot about myself and incidentally my art practice flourished from this amazing e-course. I think I made some friends for life from all over the world, who will always be there for advice, support and most important of all – fun!”

I just wanted to let you know that I am really loving the course, despite how quiet I have been and have really felt unpinning up in that I am allowing myself to just create without thinking about it or worrying about it, which has been really fun, exciting and liberating. It is also great to see my feelings laid bare on a page and tidiest express those feelings with an art medium – sometimes literally throwing paint at the page or finger painting (which I haven’t done since I was a child) and really connecting in with those feelings through art. My journal is very, very messy which is polar opposite of who I am as a person, but I feel so satisfied when I look at it. So…thank you for this amazing experience!

“I just finished a two-part series of poetry at our local library, and I’m getting ready to teach my first creative journaling class for women here in town. My journaling class is focused on writing and building a better foundation for personal health and well-being, but I really feel like Inside Out is what sparked all of this for me nearly two years ago. I’m also being led to lead group sessions and I’m completely my first novel! So this is simply to say “thank you”. Your work is having a ripple effect.”

“I’m learning that to live life I have to participate, but that I don’t need arbitrary rules.  This course has been a fabulous opportunity for me to practice just that: to take it as it comes, to resist the perfectionist tendencies that leave me stuck in the mud, and to explore my creativity without self-editing.”

“Ah, my friend… I just had to share with you the wonderful time I enjoyed this morning. I’ve never done much traditional art type work… just quilting, crafting, etc. But today I worked on days 2 & 3 of your course. Amazing! A nd… even better was this… my sweet daughter joined me and we had such a time of quiet companionship while we created. Just what she needed as she heals… a way to take her mind off of pain and focus on creativity. We lit a candle, sat together and chatted quietly while working. She started talking about times she remembers from when she was young…finger paints on the coffee table… creating with leaves and flowers collected on a walk… and we both were blessed by the time together.  Thank YOU for what you do! Your work is meaningful…and it adds value to my life, and the lives of so many others!”

Michelle

“Just WOW!  It felt like you were talking only to me in this video! I almost cried. (Okay… I admit a few tears did well up.) Holy cow, Shannon! You saw through my concerns, and were able to relate to me so succintly and eloquently, that it felt like you touched my heart. Your compassion and wisdom is astounding!  For the first time in my life, I felt like someone understood what it was like to be me, and was able to embrace it without judgement, and help me be comfortable where I am.  I am learning how to treat myself better (In a world where people expect you to live up to their expectations.) …..And you are such a great role model on how to embody compassion and wisdom. I am so ready to LEAP into these changes, and in two weeks, your class has been super inspiring! So thank you for that. I can’t wait to go deeper and deeper! Thank you so much for all you do!”
Kari

“Shannon’s class came into my life at the right time. As a busy mama of two, I was struggling with finding time for myself and was feeling burned out. Through taking Inside Out, I found time for myself everyday to create, meditate and explore my feelings. This class is much more than an art journaling class. If you are willing to take risks and dig deep into your soul, then this class is a must! I learned so much about my dreams, my fears and myself. I feel motivated to dream big and to make those dreams come true as a result of this course. Shannon is such an inspiration and she has a way of making you look at your life differently and positively.”

“I loved Inside Out as it has done so much for me in so many ways. Even though I am up in years it is never too late to change and learn. Taking the course really changed my life and let the artist side of me come to surface. I just loved the ideas Shannon gave us to follow and think about. So much of it was about letting ourselves go, which is a very meaningful and eye-opening experience. I am now experiencing the joy of putting my thoughts to paper and really expressing how I feel about aging and life in general at this time in my life. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to know what makes them tick and to reveal some of their thoughts, feelings and expression on paper while discovery more about their true selves.”

“Shannon, I can’t tell you what a pleasure and special day it was to meet you face-to-face. I feel honored that you would open your home and share your family with mine. We had a wonderful time and hope to repeat it again one day. I tickled pink by your encouragement. I am forever grateful for your friendship and guidance that helped me discover myself and encouraged me to live boldly. I am having my first new moon gathering for women in my community tonight and it is a dream I had for a long time. Thank you for this Inside Out experience and our online community!”

“I had a fabulous time in Inside Out and it gave me the courage to start taking small steps. I began with some e-courses to explore my creativity and to find out what I enjoyed. I have now started dancing classes and am having great fun. I’m living more in the moment and exploring my inner child is fun! Without Inside Out I would not have started this journey and I love it. Thank you so much, Shannon!”

“I’m grateful for your open-minded spirit and for your first e-course in January, 2010, that I participated in. You gave such a friendly welcome to every single one ofus, also to me far away up in the north of this planet. And that impressed me a lot. I want you to know that what you do affects others a lot. Your kindness and care about other people is spread throughout the world. Through my work I meet a lot of people, not only your fellow-countrymen, but also from other countries. I have found out that through these meetings I learn something new every day if I am open-minded. Thank you for everything!”

I have learned so much about myself, learned to enjoy creating in ways I never thought possible, and feel that I have loosened up creatively!”

“Shannon, I just viewed your coaching video and tears are running down my face. Your words always come to me at just the right time. I have continued to declutter and simplify my life because I have and am learning what is important to me. Thanks for what you do for so many. My life is better because you are in it and have been in it.  Thanks for your friendship and your words, kindness and the knowledge you have to help others. It is a gift. Cathy

“Hello my inspiring mentor!  I just want to start by saying how much value and peace you have brought into my life.  It has been so truly valuable.  Truly.  I have made progress, although it still feels so slow.  I am impatient!  Thank you for all you do.”

“What does the Live Freely Circle give me? It provides me a safe place to be vulnerable, to share and to seek support without fear of judgement, and to delight in our collective journeys. Shannon inspires our path toward creativity and authenticity through lessons, journal prompts, and guided meditations. Being in the circle is a virtual joining of arms from around the globe, lifting you up and encouraging you in sad times and rejoicing in your happy times. Soul care at its best!”

“It rained a lot today. During yoga the rain pitter pattered on the roof and I envisioned it dissolving and washing away things that do not serve me right now. When I got home, I used my watercolor crayons and wrote them all down on a piece of paper from my journal then took the journal page outside and let it get rained on. It felt amazing to watch the words wash right off the page. Thank you, Shannon, for this class.  You have inspired me so.”

“Shannon’s e-courses are powerful, thought-provoking and insightful, and Shannon gently nudges you to try new things while still having a great time. Most importantly, Shannon is open and accessible, a real person, who responds to comments and messages, and stays engaged with her students throughout their adventures in Inside Out and beyond. Shannon establishes a community of trust, where you can be yourself withouth judgement, and her community thrives even after the conclusion of a course. Led by a bright, caring and accomplished woman, I highly recommend Inside Out as a personal journey into your soul.”

“Thanks, Shannon. Inside Out was the journey I needed to embrace this motherhood adventure just the way I imagined it. And being a mother truly is the best! I think of you almost every day!”

You know what? When I think of you, I feel peaceful. I am amazed how you handle life in such a peaceful and trusting way! YOu are so very inspiring. I’m trying hard to stay in a peaceful and trusting place in order to see my life unfold in a way that reflects my inner-self. Not that easy though. But on the other hand, life is so beautiful. I guess I need to produce more yummy stuff for me in order to fill in my creative well and nurture my soul. I am glad I have friends like you that I can rely on to keep me on that wonderful and fulfilling path of creativity in a peaceful way!

“I have been on a spiritual journey for the past few months and today I woke up feeling afraid of failure. Afraid that what I am setting out to do in my next phase of life is going to be a flop, so far out of reach that it would never be obtainable; a dream and only a dream. I know in my head and believe this not to be true but today I felt like it would take a miracle to bring my dream to life. And today it was no coincidence that I stumbled upon your blog and almost immediately after reading a few of your posts and bio, my inner being felt at peace, my breathing relaxed and my dream still feeling alive. We are miles away from one another, yet your energy, presence and heart found me when I needed it most. Thank you for being you and thank you for giving me peace.”

“One and a half year ago I participated in Shannon’s amazing Inside Out e-course. Then, I was sharing my wish to give to the world all the knowledge I gained in my 6 year hitchhiking journey through the world, as well as what I experienced ongoing within the last three years.  By brainstorming the idea of a video log was born. I loved the idea, and finally begin realizing my dream of sharing whatever comes from my heart. My goal is to one day hold presentations about our life journey, anyplace where people would love to hear me. Thank you, Shannon. You are all awesome. I savor every little moment of connection with you.”

“The Inside Out course inspired, motivated, and changed my life.  This holiday season I am so thankful to be spending time with both my Mom and son in Florida. She has ovarian cancer and is taking chemo treatments each week. Our time together is precious. Inside Out opened my eyes and guided me to my true path in life. It helped me to leave my past behind, taught me the importance of forgiveness, and I have found myself again and begin each day with gratitude and love. Thank you Shannon, you’re truly a treasure to us all!”
