Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

Happy November!

Today marks the beginning of the second annual November challenge, Thirty Days of Giving Thanks.  I love it so much because it’s very simple and yet incredibly rewarding.  I started it last year because I would find myself thinking I need to call her, or I really would like to send them a thank you, or I hope he knows how much I appreciate what he does for me…  I just got tired of thinking about it, but never getting around to it.

Thirty Days of Giving Thanks is about getting around to it.  It’s about taking action.  Sharing your thanks manifests your thoughts into energy and it’s this energy that touches the people you thank, and in turn gets radiated back to you.  Seriously, I had no idea how powerful sending out some thank you notes could be, but last year proved to be an eye opener.  I met new friends, reconnected with old ones, and received special letters – like from my reserved grandfather – that meant the world to me.

So I encourage you to thank some people in your life in honor of Thanksgiving.  The challenge invites you to thank 30 people in 30 days.  If you decide to join us please let me know here and grab a badge if you have a blog.  (And if you are daunted by the amount, no worries.  Don’t focus on how many people to thank – simply make it fun and do what you can.)

Share your stories, photos and posts on our A Free Spirit Life Facebook page or on Twitter using #30DaysofThanks.  I may not post everyday, but I will share with you regularly my journey over the next 30 days, and I hope you will do the same.

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.

Share your thanks today.

Halloween is a big deal in our house.  My husband and I both LOVE this holiday.  We love it even more now that we get to share the fun with our two boys.

Today, I am thanking my sweet husband for helping make this THE BEST HALLOWEEN we’ve shared together!

Chris, your creativity, cardboard-cutting-painting-making-robots-out-of-recycled-junk, photography and lighting skills, love, care and joy of being in our family is what makes these times together so very special.  I’ll remember that always.  And I’ll especially keep in my heart how NO MATTER WHAT, you always put us first.

I love you forever.  Thank you for being in our life.  Thank you for all you do.  Thank you for being you.

Your Personal Reflection:

Is there someone really special in your life who you’ve been meaning to thank, but haven’t gotten around to it yet?  Start by thanking them today.
